Fertilizing

Usually, succulents don’t need to be fertilized because of their ability to adapt in low nutrient conditions. However, feeding once a month during their growth season (from spring to late summer) will encourage healthier growth and vibrant colours. Cactus-specific fertilizers or low-nitrogen blends are ideal, as too much nitrogen may burn the roots. Liquid fertilizers are preferred, as they allow nutrients to be absorbed efficiently, especially when watered directly into the soil. Fertilizing newly repotted succulents should be avoided for a few weeks, giving them time to adapt to their new environment without being stressed.
