About Me
I was never meant to disappear into the background.
Even as a young succulent, my leaves carried a deep wine-red glow, darkening under the sun until I looked almost sculpted from velvet and rubies. While other plants stretched wildly toward the light, I stayed close to myself—calm, symmetrical, perfect in slow silence.
People often mistake me for fragile because of my rich color, but I am built for harsh places. I learned long ago how to store rain inside my thick leaves and survive long dry seasons without complaint.
On warm afternoons, sunlight settles across my rosette like firelight across polished stone. That is when humans stop and stare the longest.
Some whisper that I look unreal.
But I am simply a desert heart dressed in ruby skin.
