About Me
I am Echeveria ‘Humburger’, shaped like a compact rosette that seems almost stacked—layer upon layer of thick, rounded leaves forming a structure that looks deliberate, almost architectural.
My life begins quietly in pale green, tucked low to the soil. I do not rush upward. Instead, I build outward and inward at the same time, pressing my leaves into tight symmetry, as if holding myself together carefully.
With enough sunlight, color begins to shift. The green deepens at the base while the outer leaves take on warm blushes of pink, peach, or soft red depending on the intensity of light and season. The change is slow, but constant—like light leaving fingerprints across every layer.
Water is not something I chase often. I store it inside my leaves, waiting through dry stretches without complaint. Growth is measured, controlled, and compact, often producing small offsets that cluster around the base like quiet repetitions of the same form.
